Do you want to:
Help with Community Speedwatch? The traffic at present is causing many concerns with excessive speed. The police are very supportive but if you could help with Community Speedwatch occasionally, perhaps a few times a year, it might help to get the message across. Drivers are not prosecuted as a result of our actions but the police may write to or visit them to make them aware. If you can help please email the Parish Council Clerk at wwpcclerk@gmail.com or Neil at lyndale665649@gmail.com. There are three approved sites, but we only use two of them… one by the phone box mainly for traffic coming south, up the hill, and by Middle Ford Farm for traffic going towards Wellington. The average number of vehicles travelling in one direction only is over 100 per hour, and the average speed of those registered is 40mph with top speeds in excess of 50mph. It has the highest recorded rate of offenders in Avon and Somerset Speedwatch areas.
If you can help please email the Parish Council Clerk at wwpcclerk@gmail.com or Neil at lyndale665649@gmail.com.
